Startups
The Luxembourg startup ecosystem: funding rounds, incubators and companies to watch.
Luxembourg's startup ecosystem is small, which makes it legible: a limited number of active companies, a handful of support structures, and funding you can actually trace.
This section follows funding rounds and what they genuinely pay for, rather than the headline amounts.

What this section covers
It covers the support structures — incubators, accelerators, public schemes — including what they ask for in return and what they deliver.
It also follows the young companies building from the Grand Duchy, including those that shut down: an ecosystem is understood as much through its closures as through its announcements.
The country has few domestic seed funds, and a share of rounds closes with foreign investors or public vehicles. That dependency changes how a round should be read: where the money comes from, and the terms attached, often matter more than the amount.
The section also looks at what precedes a round — incorporation, the first customer, the first hire — because that is where the rest is decided, and it is rarely told.
Companies are named, with the date of the events reported. Second-hand information is flagged as such.
Coverage stops where public relations begins: a fundraising announcement with no disclosed terms, an award, a partnership without substance. None of that changes what a founder here needs to decide.
